GRANTS TO UNIVERSITY FACULTIES OF MEDICINE

This is the English version of a bilingual regulation.
1. The Minister may pay a grant by way of provincial aid to a university faculty of medicine that has reduced student enrolment and a consequent reduction in per capita grants such that the quality of medical education may be impaired. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 787, s. 1.
2. A grant made under section 1 may only be used by a faculty of medicine for the purpose of paying costs related to the provision of medical education. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 787, s. 2.
3. A grant made under section 1 may be paid in instalments or in a lump sum. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 787, s. 3.
4. Where a grant is not used in whole or in part or where a grant is not used for the purpose for which it was intended the recipient of the grant shall repay the full amount of the grant or such lesser amount as the Minister may determine to the Minister of Finance. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 787, s. 4.
5. A grant under section 1 shall be in the amount set out in Column 2 of the following Schedule to the faculty of medicine set out opposite thereto in Column 1 of the Schedule for the fiscal year commencing on the date set out in Column 3 of the Schedule. O. Reg. 210/92, s. 1.
